Ever since I was a kid I loved to, as I called it, "go exploring". Every time the goal is the same, find the best view possible. Growing up in one of the most beautiful regions in America, there was no shortage of places to satisfy this desire. There is something primal about running through the woods and making discoveries. I never go alone, partly because my mom says I'm not allowed, but also because I believe every adventurer needs a companion.

Sometimes it's my teammates (above) and other times it's my nine-year-old brother (below). Together we search, traveling until we lose our individuality and recognize ourselves as pieces in something much larger.

I've been wrestling since I was five years old, and not much has changed since then. I do not wrestle, rather, I am a wrestler. Although I am the only one on the mat getting their hand raised, I have been blessed with amazing support along the way. One is my little sister, Colette, who sat through countless hours of wrestling tournaments and always made sure my injuries were properly cared for.

My wrestling career picked up when I joined the Finger Lakes Wrestling Club (FLWC). This exposed me to amazing mentors that helped me grow as a wrestler and a person. I spent time as the Volunteer Assistance Coach of the club in hopes to give others the amazing experience I was so fortunate to receive. I assist in practices, tournaments, and clinics forming relationships with many local wrestlers.

Circa 2006, I proudly hold the title as the longest active member of the club.

In March of 2016 I traveled to Albany, NY where I watched nine members place in the state tournament, five of which were champions. Great to see hard work pay off!
